And yet here I am planning a dinner party for this Sunday. I invited some of the girls over for yummy food and drinks and though the menu is "set" (I still have to find recipes for the things I'd like to make), I'm just hoping I don't set the whole place on fire. I'm even making cute little recipe cards to set on the table! In fact, that could very well be the most appealing thing on it.
But this will be a good chance for me to practice my (nonexistent) cooking skills, try out some new dishes, have plenty of leftovers for the week ahead and get my friends to come for a visit. It seems that living in an outer borough, no matter how close to the island you are, doesn't make for many visitors.
Do you guys have any dinner party tips to share? I'd love to hear your ideas!
